Made in the Midlands members were treated to a real insight into the operations of the global machinery supplier LVD ltd at their facility in Banbury.

The networking event was the most southern event held by Made in the Midlands so far in 2018, but it didn’t stop over 30 manufacturing and engineering firms attending to learn from LVD and network with like minded companies in the region.

LVD, who joined Made in the Midlands earlier this year, opened their doors to showcase their impressive range of sheet metal machinery includings laser cutting, punch presses, press brakes, and cutting machines.

With several sheet metal fabricators present at the event, it was an excellent opportunity for LVD not just to demonstrate the strength of their products but also to show the high levels of customer care they provide to clients, something they feel sets them apart from their competitors.

The event also enables the company to present their bespoke software, CADMAN. The software suite  is a full programming system for the design, production planning, automatic program generation and management of unfolding, punching, laser cutting and bending of sheet metal parts. The ability to provide a constant flow of data between machines and software will increase efficiency and flexibility across the shopfloor workplace.

Their integration technology to enabling LVD to be leading in their field and be at the forefront of Industry 4.0 technology.

Established in the 1950s, LVD gained recognition as a precision press brake manufacturer. They experienced significant growth in the 1990s, which included the acquisition of Strippit, Inc. and the addition of laser cutting products to its portfolio helped position the company as a leader in laser, punching and bending technology.

Today, LVD offers a full range of integrated products for the global sheet metalworking market. The company has five manufacturing facilities and is active in more than 45 countries following the principle of localized sales and service for each region.
